Synopsis

SYNOPSIS

The designated musical heir of Woody Guthrie, Ramblinʼ Jack Elliott influenced future stars like Bob Dylan. But while his protégés went on to glory, the freewheelinʼ Jack languished on the honky-tonk circuit. Archival footage and testimony from such admirers as Johnny Cash and Pete Seeger affirm Elliottʼs musical importance, but the whole story, as told by his own daughter, is far more complicated.
